"K.I.S.S" Sermon 9 K.I.S.S stands for "keep it simple stupid". Jesus liked to keep it simple when He taught. He taught a very simple and straight forward doctrine. Why then is the New Testament so thick? I will try to answer that question in this sermon. Pray that God will give me the words you need to hear to help you understand. I use a Michie law book on my police job. It is very thick and some of the other law books are even thicker even tho it only has a small percentage of the actual laws in it. What do we need with so many laws and what does this have to do with the sermon? It illustrates what I am trying to say about K.I.S.S. Attorneys need jobs, judges need jobs, the law is complicated to make jobs not to help people in need. That is a fact whether we like it or not. Look at the tax code, how many jobs would be lost if a simple flat tax were imposed much like a sales tax? The clergy(pharisees and other religious leaders) made the Jewish law and codes so complicated to produce jobs for themselves and others. The clergy has kept the same tradition of "law bloat" ever since. It is good for creating jobs. The average person can not wade thro the bloat to get to the simple truth Jesus was teaching. Nor does the "educated clergy" want the average person to understand the simple truth because that would do away with millions of jobs world wide. I think I had better stop here if I want to live in South Georgia, I do not want to be tarred and feathered. Pray for wisdom and the Holy Spirit will reveal the "rest of the story" to you. |
