They are still here today.

Who? The ones who killed JESUS, they are still here today!

Them and their rules, their lack of feeling, their lack of love, their lack of THE HOLY SPIRIT (GOD'S love).

They make the rules, or I should say they make up the rules. They make rules that work for them. They observe rules that serve their purposes.

They killed Jesus because He spoke the heart of GOD.
He did not live by their rules.
He lived like GOD wanted HIM to live, from the heart, applying the principles of love that GOD THE FATHER showed HIM and taught HIM.

They don't want to get it, not because it's complicated, but because their hearts are hard and they enjoy their un-GODLY state.
They enjoy hurting others, enjoy their selfishness, enjoy their evil behavior.

Most religions including ours seem to ignore the teachings of JESUS in favor of rules, or laws, or whatever suits them more. Why?

Why would anyone choose to ignore JESUS'S teachings? There are many reasons. Here are a few.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires knowledge of JESUS'S teachings.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires soul searching, it requires different behavior for different situations.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a tender heart.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires feelings, and exercising those feelings.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a sweet spirit.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires help from the HOLY SPIRIT.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a caring heart.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a forgiving spirit.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a person who will break the rules if that rule hurts someone.
Living by the teachings of JESUS requires a person who understands that rules do not have a heart.
 JESUS loves, Jesus is love.

The rules or laws have no love, no spirit, no feelings, no humanity, and no GODLINESS. Then why would anyone want to ignore the teachings of JESUS in favor of the rules and laws of their religion? You figure, I can't.
