Martha McLeod Chapter # 559, United Daughters of the Confederacy meets each first Wednesday at noon for a luncheon meeting. This chapter was organized in 1902 and has remained active for 102 years. Presently Mrs. Judy P. Roberts is President; Miss Mary Evelyn Warren, vice president. Wilcox County Arts Council meets each second Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Joy Theatre of the Arts Council Complex. Membership is open to all. Individual membership is $30 and family membership is $35. The Arts council invites one and all to participate and to enjoy the many artistic programs offered.
